Lisbon 8/7

Overrated coffee at Cafe A Brasileira, overrated chocolate croissants at Benard, 8 hours at Cascais walking around the beach that included watching a kickass band play at night and having spicy piri piri chicken for dinner, took the train and reached our Alfama home at 12 a.m., and walked to the buzzing neighbourhood to get some Ginjinha shots while people gathered to celebrate.

I think if there’s one thing I’ll miss in Portugal the most, it will be the people. Not the food, but the people. No one can ever artificially construct this place even if he had all the money in the world because what really makes Lisbon such an awesome place is its people, and you can’t buy that anywhere.

We’re leaving in two days, but I know for sure that I will come back. By the way, this place would make a good honeymoon spot in the summer.

10 euros for local Portuguese buffet. The rice DAMN NICE. Like paella but wetter.
